<div>Gemini Control was established by Michael Hill on returning to the U.K. from Ireland in 2005. The original company was started in 1998 in Cobh, Co. Cork. The catalyst in the beginning was a need for Heinkel centrifuge expertise with a multi disciplinary approach (control, process, mechanical) for the rapidly expanding pharma industry. We still offer that same service to this day but have expanded to include all types of centrifuges, decanters and dryers along with many other OEM machinery and into other sectors including oil and gas, aggregrates, precious metals and specialst dyes.</div>

<div>Gemini Control offer a full control system product for both Ex and Safe Area, GAMP and non-GAMP projects. This inlcludes the hardware, PLC/DCS software, HMI/SCADA configuration, design documentation and acceptance test protocols. We can also assist in recipe optimisation and we have designed and sold filter cloths for 20 years. In addition to these core services we also can supply fully refurbished machines with warranty for contract pharma and non pharma applications.</div>

<div>Gemini have been supplying fully refurbished machines &ndash; &ldquo;As New&rdquo; &ndash; since 2013. We offer these machines with an as new warranty and every part of the machine is refurbished to ensure the best possible value. The customer receives a fully FATed machine, as new, for usually 50% or less of the cost of a new machine. Further, the machine is delivered in approximately 50% less time than a new machine ordered from the OEM.</div>

<div>Thus, ordering from Gemini is simply the most efficient way in which any customer can sources a new machine at half the cost and half the time, satisfying both budgetary and schedule constraints at the same time! A win-win which we have demonstrated time and time again for our customers.</div>

<div>Our primary role is the automation of OEM machines such as centrifuge/dryers and automation of systems such as Port/Starboard control, MEG recovery, and ESD in oil and gas. <p>This project was to supply two Heinkel HF800.1 centrifuges for a pharmacetucial in the U.K. on a tight schedule.<span class="wixui-rich-text__text" style="font-family: helvetica-w01-light,helvetica-w02-light,sans-serif;"><span class="wixui-rich-text__text" style="font-size: 17px;">&nbsp;</span></span></p>
<p>Gemini sourced the machines and supervised their complete mechnacial refurbishment. The machines were stripped, degreased and repainted as new. New drawings were developed, penetration tests executed, all wearing parts replaced (lip seals, O rings, bearings etc.)</p>
<p>Once in perfect condition new instruments were installed and wired to new junction boxes. New motors were fitted and finally we married the machines to new control systems and drives.</p>
<p>Design documents scheduled within a Master Document Index (Mechanical &amp; Electrical Drawings, P&amp;ID, IL, FDS, HDS) together with Acceptence Test documents (FAT &amp; SAT) were developed to provide the necessary documentary evidence to support the validation task.</p>
<p>A full FAT and then IQ/OQ was executed on both machines. The machines were installed on time and to budget.</p>

Dow - Heinkel Complete Refurbishment.

<p>The centrifuges in each stream were to act as a single unit with feeding of any given machine controlled by the PLC and dependent on various factors.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Local Operator Panels were installed and allowed for any machine to be operated in manual mode whilst the others remained in automatic. Further, each machine within each stream operated on a "Duty" or "Assist1" or "Assist 2"&nbsp; basis which changed over automatically with the turn down ratio dependent on a DICA Salt signal and fault status. This ensured a considerable saving of energy on site whilst also giving full felxibilty to prodcution with anything between 1 to 6 machines ready to operate at any point in time.</p>

<p>​The entire system was built and coded by Gemini and successfully&nbsp; FATed in England before being shipped to Turkmenistan for IQ and OQ and has been in continuous operation since 2015.&nbsp;</p>

<h1><strong>Heinkel "As New" Supply</strong></h1>

<p>This&nbsp; project consisted of two off HF800 machines in Hastelloy and two in stainless steel. We delivered all four on schedule and to budget. Each machine received a full mechanical refurbishment coupled with complete new instruments and motors. We then completed the work with new: controls, drives, HMI, purge and LOP.</p>

<p>​On delivery of the final machine Lee Kingsbury, General Manager of Lianhetech Seal Sands said:</p>

<p>We sourced the machines in Europe and the US and delivered them to Germany where our partner company refurbished the machines to our and our customer's specficastion. We added new control system and drives and executed an FAT.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The machines were then imported to the UK with all logistics (transport, customs, shipping)&nbsp; handled in house by Gemini and installed at their final locations. We then executed a SAT and put the machines into production.</p>

<p>Value of the project was in excess of &pound;1.5M and we executed the project together with our in house contractors and partners as a turnkey offer. Sourcing, procurement, design, documentation, project management, construction, refurbishment, testing, shipping &nbsp;and commissioning were all executed and managed by Gemini.</p>

<p>The delivery of these 4 machines was on top of the previous comments when we supplied two HF800s on the Dow Expansion back in 2014.</p>
